Family Visits: Arizona

We met some of Chris's family for the first time this fall in his birthplace of Arizona after a successful first trip Chris took last January. It was so...refreshing to meet his family and see where he gets those certain quirks from and see the happiness he brought to family he hadn't known for so many years.

And the weather was nice too. ;)

JR and Sam were SO hospitable as we enjoyed casual, laidback days in sunny Arizona.

The kids were just happy to get out of the car (or at least play on the outside of a car!) after a full day of driving. UGGHHH....

I tell you what, that man can cook! Here's JR giving me a few of his trade secrets after breakfast. Mmm, mmm, good!

Three generations of menfolk as we waited for JR's famous ribs to smoke.

Seth became quick buds with Papa Martin after going for a ride on "Alice," I mean, the Harley.

In fact, Seth became more of a shadow to Chris's dad after that...

Observe....This is pretty much a familiar scene the rest of our stay in Arizona.

We were all so happy to complete this family tie and can foresee many future trips. Especially with Idaho winters looming over us...
