Sucked in the Void of Primetime Television

I've felt so guilty about this that I feel that I have to confess about my new love: The Bachelor. I don't know if it's because of this:

It could also be because of excellent media work that has sucked me into the whole lovey-dovey world of courting, it's nearly Valentine's Day, OR my pregnancy hormones are CRAZY. Take your pick.

I already admitted on my cop wife blog that I watched The Bachelorette for the first time last season, which introduced the world to Jake Pavelka, and he was my favorite then. I also added a disclaimer to that post stating I wasn't one of those obsessed show watchers, which is now pretty much thrown out the window.

Sigh.

I caught myself over the last week impatiently waiting for the newest episode after the teaser they throw in at the end of each episode to hook the watcher into the next week. I've only watched one other Bachelor series which was way lame because he sent all of the girls home (I can't even remember his name but it was a few years ago) and I was totally turned off from that form of "reality tv."

And then I saw this smile.

And Hello?! Need I state more...

I've developed a crush, in which I was hoping to magically see myself on TV getting a rose from an amazing man:

Then reality would set in as soon as I heard a crash from somewhere in my house and my kiddies doing who knows what. I guess I also forgot the fact that I'm 4 months pregnant and looking more and more like I belong beached onshore than strolling the beach hand in hand as a single lady.

I also remembered that I've already received my rose.

These are only a few (6) of the 14+ dozen that Chris bought for me (the majority I made myself since I worked at the same flower shop he ordered from...and yes, sometimes I had no clue they were for me until he arrived with them in hand!).

Though I still have my crush and eye candy for a few more weeks until the season finale of The Bachelor, I'll leave the single ladies to find their own Prince Charming.

My favorite choice is Tenley, but most of that is based off of what the show's producers want me to choose. I'm on to them!

Besides, I've already found my Prince Charming.

So stay tuned for the next post in which Natalie and Chris share what "happily ever after" means! OK, so I may not become a writer for television, but you get the drift.

One of the most embarrassing moments of my life was when I admitted to Dan I "had to" leave home early to watch The Bachelor in Paris. He hates them, but I just think it's good entertainment!!

We watch it :) I find myself stuck in this show every season...unless the previews look disgusting!! I hope he picks Tenley too but you know that Ali is going to come back and try to win his heart.
Hope everything is going well with the pregnancy!!
