Well, tangent aside, I went to Hill Aerospace Museum with Chris and the kids on the way home from the Paul Reunion.
When we first walked into the museum, Seth was SO excited to see all the planes (until he discovered he couldn't go into the cockpit). He got over it though when we went to their ACE activity center, which is just a part of their educational programs. More on that in a bit.
Eliza was stoked to be there as well, though she didn't really know why. Daddy was excited because he knew a lot about the different planes they had (all those computer games and action flicks really DO come in handy sometimes!) Mommy was excited because it was a museum and had interesting stories and memobilia. Seth was excited because Daddy was excited and what boy doesn't love planes?! Thus, Eliza was excited because everyone else was excited.
While in their ACE, Seth was gracious enough to let me be his co-pilot in a cockpit simulator. It was actually pretty fun to push all the buttons and "fight off the bad guys." Plus, we had cool helmets.
Taking the small leap literal for man. We're still working on the giant leap for mankind.
Volunteers let little kiddies "take a ride" in this built-to-size plane. On the side it says, Crew Chief: Grandpa. I loved it.
This SR71 Blackbird was HUGE! And yes, Chris had to tell me the name of it because I had no clue.
Rockin out next to the B-25 Mitchell which was painted black with red skeleton cariactures. The boys had a little too much testoterone release when they saw this one.
ARGHH!!! Don't mess with me!
Off we go, into the great blue yonder! Well, actually, we were just checking out more of the planes outside of the museum next to Hill Air Force Base.Definitely worth going to (it's FREE!) especially if you have little boys. Or big boys that act like little boys when in the presence of military machines.

FUN!!! I loved stuff like that when I was a kid :)
Fun!! We have a couple different museums around here (well within a couple of hours of us). I would love to go check them out. Sounds like it was a fun time for you guys!
I am a museum geek myself--great family photos!
