Why We Celebrate

Don't worry. I won't bore you with a quiz (though that would be AWESOME!) I just wanted to share how much I love the reasons we celebrate Independence Day.

I love that I'm an American and so many different faces and people represent our great nation.

I love my freedom, but this freedom has a price because of the amazing men and women that fight to keep it that way.

I love that I get choked up anytime I see a veteran don their uniform. Thanks Grandpa Cox for doing your part while stationed in Pearl Harbor during WWII (he's the handsome chap waving. Isn't he adorable?!)

I love the feeling that I get when I see symbols of America.

So inbetween slathering the sunblock, attending BBQs and watching the fireworks, please just take a minute to reflect on why we celebrate the holiday and why we are so blessed to live in this land.

Happy 4th of July!!!

Very nice. I'm trying to think of all these things now instead of fireworks and BBQs. Thanks for this.

Well said Natalie. We owe so much to our veterans and your videos are a fitting for this holiday.

That managed to make me cry before we left to go boating. But then again, my emotions are pretty raw right now.

And I blubber at parades when they march by with my flag.

PS... love the music! I love learning about artists I've never heard before.
